On April 28, 2024, the UoK delegation visited the Centre for International Policy Research (CIPI), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the most influential think tanks in Cuba, led by Dr José Ramón Cabañas Rodríguez, former ambassador to the US.

 

The Centre for International Policy Research (CIPI) is a Cuban academic institution dedicated to strategic studies and international relations. Established on November 25, 2010, CIPI operates under the auspices of the Raúl Roa García Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI) and functions as a research entity affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (MINREX). CIPI plays a crucial role in advancing Cuba's strategic studies and fostering international academic collaboration, contributing to a deeper understanding of global and regional dynamics. The institution aims to provide comprehensive analyses that inform Cuba's foreign policy and contribute to the broader academic discourse on international relations. CIPI's primary mission is to conduct prospective research on global and regional issues, with a particular emphasis on: Geopolitics and international conflicts, Global challenges such as climate change, migration, pandemics, and technological competition, Multipolarity and multilateralism in the evolving international order, Strategic resources and their geopolitical implications
