Dr Girish Kumar R is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Kerala. Before coming to Kerala University, he worked at Mahatma Gandhi University, Central University of Kerala and Raiganj University. His areas of interests include International Political Economy, Science and Technology in International Relations, Innovation Studies with special reference to Innovation Systems of the Global South (Latin America and Asia) and the development divide between the North and South. He has published numerous research papers in these fields. He carried out research/teaching at Cambridge University (UK), George Washington University (US), and European University (Italy).
