University of Kerala delegation at the University of Havana (UH)

On April 29, Tuesday, the Kerala University delegation visited the University of Havana and was cordially received by Prof. Dionisio Zaldivar Silva, the Vice-rector of the University of Havana (UH). On Tuesday, Prof. Girish Kumar and Prof. Sabu Joseph had a long and fruitful discussion with Prof. Dionisio Zaldivar Silva and other officials of the UH and in the meeting, the Vice-Rector of the University of Havana (UH) had announced the University’s willingness to establish a Centre for India studies in Havana University that will also have a Kerala Chair.

 

Talks were also held about the launching of the Twinning Programme for Master’s Students of the University of Kerala and the University of Havana. Exchange Programmes for Researchers and Faculty of Cuban universities and universities in Kerala are also discussed in the meeting.

 

 

The University of Havana comprises 16 faculties and 14 research centres, offering over 25 specialities across various disciplines. These include Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Economics, and Law. The institution serves approximately 24,000 students.
