CLAS Translation Grants and Fellowships

The Centre provides grants of up to Rs. 3 lakhs to translators and faculty members to facilitate the translation of Latin American works and literature into Malayalam and Hindi.

CLAS Translation Fellowships/Grants

This is a non-resident, remote fellowship program offered by the University of Kerala CLAS. The fellowship allows recipients to complete their translation work outside the University.

Award Details:

• Amount: Rs. 50,000 to 3 lakhs, depending on the project scope.

  • Translations of previously untranslated works
  • Collections of poetry, prose, or critical theory related to Latin America
  • Work-in-progress or new projects within the award's scope
